Our Appspace 7.0-ac.27 platform update is a special one. Not only does it include several enhancements to the console but it also provides support for Cisco Collaboration Endpoint devices.
Wallpaper, Alerts, and More
Leveraging existing Cisco APIs, customers can now display an Appspace channel as a background on Cisco TelePresence MX and SX series, Room Kit series, and the Cisco DX80 desktop collaboration device. When any of these collaboration devices are not in use for video calls or presentations, an Appspace playlist channel will display information such as company updates, instructions on how to use the technology, or how to get support. Cisco Collaboration Endpoints can also receive alerts and emergency messages sent by Appspace. Alerts can be triggered manually or through a platform like Singlewire’s Informacast.
In this initial release, a content cache device on the network is required for content delivery to the endpoints. Guides to setting these up can be found on our Knowledge Center.
Console Enhancements
Search, now offers suggested results, that display as keywords are entered. Search results also link to cards, users, user groups, and channels with the ability to edit from the same window.
Users can now edit content playout properties when adding the content to a playlist channel. Edit transitions, aspect ratios, playout durations, and schedule before committing content to the channel. Both these enhancements give users greater flexibility and improve efficiency while you are in our platform.
